Summer 2023: All Together Albany

Summer Library Program

We are finally back with completely in-person programming! We are so excited to have everyone back in the library weekly, and can't wait to learn and have fun. When you first sign-up for our Summer Library Program, you will earn a free book that you can pick up at the Library. We will finish our programs with a Celebratory Pizza Party on August 1st for participants who completed their end-of-program scavenger hunt (handed out July 25th). Those who attend at least 5 out of our 6 Tuesday activities and read 20 hours over the course of the program will have successfully completed our 2023 Summer Library Program and will be rewarded with a new book of their choosing!

 

We have two ways to log both activities and reading this year, Beanstack and traditional paper logging. If you do not have a Beanstack account, start here! If you already have a Beanstack account, simply visit the Challenges page to sign-up. For paper logging, please visit the library to sign-up and receive your log. Earn a Reading Badge on Beanstack, or finish a row on the paper log to earn a spin on the Prize Wheel! For in-person programming, each session will have a passcode that will allow you to complete the corresponding Badge on Beanstack. We will have a separate paper log for those opting for the more traditional log. 

 

In-Person Programming

This year, we will be highlighting the helpers and heroes of Albany. Two sessions will be held each Tuesday; 10am- 11am recommended for children 3-6, and 1pm-2pm recommended for children 1st Grade through 4th Grade. We understand that families may have children in both age groups, so please feel free to come to just one of the sessions with all your children. Please note that each session is tailored to that specific age group, so the activities/information may be more basic or more advanced depending on the session attended. Our schedule is as follows:

  • June 13th- A River Runs Through Albany
  • June 20th- Safe at Home in Albany
  • June 27th- Stop, Drop, & Rock 'n Roll in Albany
  • July 4th- NO ACTIVITY
  • July 11th- Albany, 53502!
  • July 18th- Happy & Healthy in Albany
  • July 25th- Banking on Albany
  • August 1st- Albany First!
