Children's Programs

We're happy to offer an array of programs and events for our littlest patrons!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

This free program is a great way to begin fostering a love of reading in children before they even begin school. Whether your child is a newborn or just turned four, it's entirely possible to complete this program! Your child only needs to be 5 or younger and not have started Kindergarten, to sign up (4K excluded). Simply stop by the library to fill out a short form. You'll then be able to sign up via the Reader Zone app or website for digital tracking or take home a paper tracking sheet. Any book your child reads with you, a friend, another family member, or at a program (like our children's Preschool Storytime!) can be logged. A book may be logged more than once, so feel free to re-read favorites as many times as you want! Stop by the library, every 100 books read, to pick out a free new book and again at completion for a grand prize!

*1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is funded solely by private donations.

Preschool Storytime

Geared to ages 0-5, Preschool Storytime is a great way to get your little ones excited about reading. Join Miss Laura, our Children's Programming Specialist, for fun and engaging stories and crafts that follow a monthly theme. Storytime is held every Tuesday at 10:00 am here at the library.

Summer Library Program

Summer 2025 is almost here! This year, all ages are invited to partake in the reading portion of our summer program! Click here to find out more about our new reading challenge, and to learn about our program for students.
